ACTIVIST TARGETED: "PHAKEL’UMTHAKATHI" CLAIMS HE IS FACING NUMEROUS DEATH THREATS OVER ANTI-MIGRATION CAMPAIGNS

Prominent anti-illegal immigration activist and leader of the Insizwa Nobunsizwa organization, Nkosikhona Ndabandaba—widely known as "Phakel’umthakathi"—claims his life is in imminent danger. 

The activist, who has also played a leading role in the "March and March" movement, revealed that he has received numerous death threats from anonymous sources demanding that he halt his controversial campaigns targeting undocumented foreign nationals.

• Escalating Threats: Ndabandaba claims the threats have intensified as his campaigns grow in momentum across KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. He believes the intimidation is a direct attempt to silence his grassroots advocacy against undocumented immigration and the operation of local businesses by non-citizens.

• Unfazed by Intimidation: Despite the alleged threats to his life, "Phakel’umthakathi" has maintained that he will not back down. He insists that his organization, Insizwa Nobunsizwa, remains resolute in its mission to reclaim local economic spaces, such as township spaza shops and hair salons, for South African citizens.

• Tense Public Atmosphere: The claims surface amid highly charged debates across the country regarding immigration reform and township economic ownership.
